Frenchie Network Integrates Chainlink VRF to Distribute Verifiably Fair Community Rewards
We’re excited to announce that Frenchie Network — a fast and highly modular blockchain that is permissionless, decentralized and environment friendly — has integrated Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on the Binance Smart Chain mainnet.
By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, we now have access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed to prove fairness among our holders when we distribute giveaways and airdrops. Ultimately this creates a more transparent and fraud-proof user experience, as users can verify that holders were rewarded by a random output from Chainlink VRF in an unbiased manner.
Frenchie Community Contests and Giveaways are part of our tokenomics. In order to prove fair distribution with ZERO corruption from the development team, we have chosen to integrate the Chainlink VRF technology. We have 25 billion Frenchie tokens that we are about to distribute in diverse contests and giveaways, creating a fair distribution of our supply to the community.
In order to help ensure fairness for the Frenchie Community in our Contests and Giveaways , we need access to a secure random number generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit. However, RNG solutions for smart contracts require several security considerations to prevent manipulation and ensure system integrity. For instance, RNG solutions using on-chain data like block hashes can be exploited by blockchain miners, while off-chain RNG solutions like traditional data providers are opaque and don’t provide users with definitive proof about the integrity of the process.
After reviewing various solutions, we selected Chainlink VRF because it’s based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by time-tested oracle infrastructure, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that prove the integrity of each random number supplied to smart contracts.
Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Frenchie Network smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has a valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This helps provide our users with automated and verifiable assurances directly on-chain that Frenchie Contests Giveaways are provably fair and were not tampered with by the oracle, outside entities, or the Frenchie Network team.
We are looking as well to integrate Chainlink Price Feeds natively on the Frenchie Network Blockchain in the future, as Frenchie Network will be EVM-compatible, making such transition easy as on Chainlink already supports many EVM-based chains (Ethereum , BSC, AVAX, etc.)
“We selected Chainlink VRF technology due to their long and time-tested technology that will prove our transparency and fairness among our contributors and holders in Giveaway and Contests that distribute funds to the community.” –Paun Gabriel Razvan — Founder — Frenchie Network
About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts with a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations for enabling feature-rich applications. Chainlink currently secures tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, insurance, gaming, and other major industries, and offers global enterprises and leading data providers a universal gateway to all blockchains.
